providing virtual therapy in north carolina and south carolina
About
Hi, I’m Kristy. As a therapist, I bring acceptance and empowerment to create a safe space where you can show up exactly as you are. I support clients navigating ambiguous loss, attachment wounds, hyper-independence (from being a parentified child) life transitions, and building healthy relationships. Let’s be real—putting yourself out there is hard and no one wants to feel vulnerable. But the truth is, finding that balance between boundaries and connection is what allows us to live authentically and fulfill our need for deep, meaningful relationships.
I also support adults considering adoption through foster care, parenting a child that was previously in the foster care system or parenting a child with high needs. With over 18 years of experience in mental health, I’ve walked alongside many individuals in their healing journeys, offering support tailored to their unique needs. I love providing a space that helps adults and caregivers navigate challenges.
Outside of therapy, you’ll probably find me rewatching a crime show or horror movie I’ve already seen a hundred times, spending time with my family, walking my dog, or thrifting for hidden gems.
A little more about my qualifications: I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC #15654) in North Carolina. I am also a Telehealth Registered Professional Counselor (registration #2418) in South Carolina; this information can be reviewed here https://llr.sc.gov/TeleHealth/Counselor.html
I earned my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University’s CACREP-accredited program. My approach is trauma-informed, and I integrate modalities such as DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), solution-focused strategies, somatic work, and mindfulness—always tailoring my approach to what works best for you. I also offer Brainspotting.
